Getting it’s name from the Serbian word for “grandmother”, Baba is a unique coffee shop, restaurant, and bar. A variety of gourmet brews are available for coffee lovers, such as the smooth and flavorful La Colombe Coffee. Brunch is available from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., and it features selections such as Baba’s Perfect Bowl, which is a sweet combination of oatmeal, caramelized banana and almonds, pineapple, peanut butter, and roseberry syrup. The dinner menu is full of choices that encourage “fun dining”, which is based on sharing several small plates with friends. Specialties such as the Smoked Gouda, Wild Forest Mushrooms, and Steak Tartare are all perfect candidates for this enjoyable dinner tradition.
The bar menu at Baba is full of original, creative cocktails. Those with a desire for something light and refreshing may want to try the Raspberry Fizz, which mixes rum, lemon juice, raspberries, and seltzer. Patrons with a taste for something a little more sour may want to try a Zastava Sidecar, which combines Maraska Slivovitz, lemon juice, jalapeño triple sec, and hibiscus syrup. Baba also offers a Happy Hour on weekdays from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., featuring both drink and food specials.
