Expect Local, Seasonal Produce at the Arlington Farmers’ Market

Since 1979 the Arlington Farmers’ Market has been providing locals with fresh fruits and veggies grown right here in the mid-Atlantic. Today, that tradition continues, but with a modern update: you can certainly continue to browse the open-air vendor stalls, if you like, but you can also head to the website and place your order online. When you arrive at the farmer’s market you’ll find your order pre-packaged and waiting for you to pick up. Simple, easy, and fast!

Vendors include half a dozen different regional farms providing everything from ripe tomatoes and crisp asparagus spears, to hearty kale and sweet strawberries. You’ll also find bakeries selling freshly baked loaves, pastries, and cakes, as well as local dairies producing a variety of artisanal cheeses, while specialty stalls sell imported olive oil, foraged mushrooms, and pasture-fed beef. If you’re feeling a bit hungry after all this shopping, consider stopping at one of the prepared foods stalls for a cup of coffee, empanada, or grilled kebab.
